Having used sticks before are these easy to blend and less messy? And what's the average coverage, i.e compared to a stick how much more pastel is there?
Thank you for your enquiry.
Pan Pastels are highly pigmented, finely ground, highly lightfast, ultra-soft, super-blendable, low dust, professional Artist quality pastels in a unique pan format, made using minimal binder and fillers. These are fully compatible with traditional pastel sticks and other artists.
What is exciting about these is the way in which the pastel can be applied.
You can use the Sofft Tools and sponges, which have been developed alongside the Pan pastels, to apply the pastel or a stiff or soft brush depending on the marks required.
Each pan contains 35% more material than the average stick. And according to the supplier can yield 4-5 x more coverage.
