What does this device actually project ? I assume a photograph ? If so, where does it fit on the machine and is there a limit on its size ?

Tips:
For best results - use in a darkened room
Do not use a glossy photograph as this may not offer a clear image due to the shiny surface and can be effected by the heat from the bulb.
For enlargement insert the lens Glass end up into the split ring collar. For reducing and image insert glass end down.
The projector will not enlarge beyond about 14 x 19 cams. If I try to enlarge the image it disappears to be left with just a fuzz. The bulb is fine, the glass and enlarger both are clean, the machine has not been knocked or damaged in any way, just not been used for a year or so. It has been kept in the warm and the dry. It seems to be such a simple device, any help on this would be most welcome.
To get the image size you need to move the projector head either up or down the pole or you can remove from the pole and project directly at a wall. Then it is a balance of moving the lens back and forth in the lens tube to get the focus. To enlarge ensure that the GLASS end is inserted into the lens tube.
