Wild Rabbit in Acrylics - 1 Day Art Workshop (UK)

Tuition FROM: Sunday, 12 August 2018 TO: Sunday, 12 August 2018

Tuition Type: Workshops

  • Description
Acrylic paintings are vibrant and high detail can be easily achieved using a thin brush, so what better photo to use for a Workshop than this of a Wild Rabbit with a vibrant, tonal green background, ideal for learning how to create both tonal transitions and fine detail. At this Workshop I will show you how to build up an Acrylic painting through layering that I use in my own work and the 5 stages I follow from start to finish. Regardless of whether you have used Acrylics before or not, this Workshop is catered for all artistic levels and shows how to create a highly detailed painting.

Acrylic paints are a wonderful medium as they can be used thinly like Watercolours or thickly like Oils - they are also very forgiving as you can easily cover mistakes and for this Workshop I will show you how to create both tonal effects and fine detail. A day guaranteed to offer lots of help & advice, allowing you to create your masterpiece at your own pace and even if you are new to Acrylics or are looking to improve your techniques, this Workshop is aimed at anyone interested in the medium.

To begin the day, I start with a quick run through of the 'Do's & Dont's Checklist to ensure you will get the best out of the medium, this is then followed up with the first demonstration (there are between 5 and 6) Each demo helps to break the Workshop into bite size sections and shows you how each section is created using a layering technique. You will receive a Workshop booklet that you can use as a guide during the Workshop and take home with you so you can finish your painting at home if you wish, even save it to use as a guide for future projects.
1 to 1 guidance is always available between each Demo or you can use the booklet as your guide if you prefer to work alone. There is no pressure for you to rush your portrait, simply go at your own pace. These Workshops are open to anyone regardless of your Artistic abilities, even if you have never worked with Acrylics before.
