  • Description
I have a particular interest in drawing. I feel good draftsmanship is the foundation for all artistic endeavour and through drawing practice one can understand best how to develop your own artistic style.
If you can draw well watercolour is so much easier to understand and oils and acrylics can be tackled without preliminary drawing on the canvas.

I am often heard to say it's no good at all having wonderfully creative ideas if you do not know how to get them down onto the surface with the correct scale and proportion and the correct perspective.

Drawing in it's self can be tremendously creative if you mix media and work on exciting differing surfaces. I use sticks, quills, reeds, steel pens, teasel stems and all manor of other instruments to draw with on a couple of dozen different papers and canvases.

I can offer several one day workshops covering drawing skills and development.
