Art in Snowdonia

Tuition FROM: Tuesday, 7 June 2016 TO: Saturday, 11 June 2016

Tuition Type: Painting Holiday

  • Description
    June 6th-10th 2016
Join me in beautiful Snowdonia to develop existing skills and learn something new in a relaxed and fun environment. The course will suit people of all abilities. Weather permitting there will be lots of drawing and painting plein air to develop your sketching skills then using those pieces to develop some finished work in water based media. We will try some detailed flower drawing and some looser representations of flowers, use the fantastic landscapes and part of the buildings so the course will be varied and you can concentrate on the parts which interest you most.

We will mainly be working in pen and wash, watercolour and acrylic though you are welcome to bring pastel, watercolour pencils or inktense too.

There will be torn paper collage as a good way to develop tone as well as colour so we would build up lots of ideas before producing some more 'finished' work. I also have recently done some work for the SAA with sculpture canvas and a session on this will be included for those who would like ago have a go as it is something many people won't have tried. You are welcome to bring anything you may have bought but not got round to using and, if I know how to use it I'll help you get started.
