Still Life Drawing

Tuition FROM: Monday, 2 November 2015 TO: Monday, 2 November 2015

Tuition Type: Workshops

  • Description
A stage further along than basic elements, perhaps, but using the same sorts of items and shapes, as well as covering basic composition. Still Life is one of the best subjects in art for learning and teaching the skills of drawing and painting. It teaches you how to look at objects and see them like an artist - with awareness of their outlines, shapes, proportions, tones, texture, form and composition.
Our step-by-step still life workshop will teach you the drawing techniques used to create a still life, firstly by demonstrating how to draw the shapes and proportions of the still life objects using line, then steps to illustrate how to render the three-dimensional form of the still life using tone.
Registration is at 9.45am at the front desk downstairs. Morning and afternoon tea and coffee are provided, please bring a packed lunch if you wish or there are several good cafes locally..
All materials needed for the day are provided.
Everyone attending a workshop will receive generous discounts on all purchases on the day - some exclusions may apply.
