FW Artists' Ink is an acrylic based pigmented water resistant ink in a range of 30 colours, all of which have either a 3 or 4 star lightfast rating. Such a degree of light fastness over such a range of fully inter-mixable colours makes them ideal for use by artists'

The inks, being pigment based, are strong and rugged. Strong bold applications of FW can be made where colour strength, expression and fluidity are required. Equally, however, colours can be substantially diluted to achieve the most subtle of tones, very similar in character to watercolour.

Such washes will dry to a water resistant film and successive layers of colour can be laid over in highly predictable manner.

FW Artists Inks also work well through airbrushes and technical pens.

These FW Artists' Inks are unusual paints! The colour appears white in the bottle at first glance, but tip it towards the light and you'll see the shimmering colour. They are sometimes known as Opalescent or Interference.

Made from titanium coated mica flakes, the Inks appear to change colour from different angles as the light hits the flakes, ‘flipping' between the colour on the label e.g. red and its complementary colour, green. Use on a darker background to see the colour more strongly.
