Description
The range of SAA pastels is undergoing development and as such some pastels may not include an individual paper wrap on the stick. They are still the same much loved SAA soft pastels.
This fabulous set contains three SAA Artists' Soft Pastels which provide a fantastic addition to the range.
As with all SAA Artists' Soft Pastels, these are manufactured using the finest pigments to produce a smooth working, velvet textured pastel. All colours blend readily with gentle rubbing and can be mixed to produce immediate hues.
Suitable for application to soft drawing paper, board, wood, plaster, and canvas. Drawings can be fixed with spray, fixative or framed under glass to prevent smudging.
The Red Orange can be best described as a rich warm tomato red. All colours blend readily with gentle rubbing and can be mixed to produce immediate hues.
The Rose Red, is bright and fiery with a warm tone and a bias towards the orange. All colours blend readily with gentle rubbing and can be mixed to produce immediate hues.
The SAA Red is a cool dusky red. All colours blend readily with gentle rubbing and can be mixed to produce immediate hues.
Key to shade:
(3) = full shade + black
(5) = full shade pure
(7), (8) + (9) = full shade with increasing amounts of white
