However, the cost, availability and (relatively low) toxicity of cadmiums have caused paint makers to look to alternatives, whilst maintaining as many of the original qualities as possible.

Schmincke's range of both cadmium and cadmium-free colours present the ideal opportunity to explore and create with both types of pigment.
