I’m using arches pads size 7.5”x10” and 9”x12” which mount size would I need for a Finnished painting I usually put masking tape round edges
You will need to measure the actual size of the painting you want framing.
There are two measurement you need to know. The size of the actual part of the painting you want to be seen. This will be needed for the aperture (cut out area) of the mount.
The other size you need is the outer size of the mount. This is the part that will fit into the frame.
It is usual to have a 1.5-2” mount boarder around the painting.
On our standard mount we allow for a 0.5cm allowance on our ready cut mounts which may not be enough if using tape around the painting while painting.
If a standard mount and frame will not fit, then not to worry - You can also have a bespoke mount and frame made to fit the dimensions of the painting.
