Please can anybody tell me what the difference is between 100gsm and 100mic on card grading. Thanks
You will see many paper giving the weigh in gsm or lb. This is a measurement which stands for Grams per square meter and means exactly that how many grams a single sheet of paper weighs measuring 1m x 1m.
Other mappers are listed as microns (mic) this refers to the thickness of the paper. where 1 micron = 1/1000 of a millimetre.
This is a comparison list the weigh in GSM to the thickness in microns.
Eg a 300gsm paper is approximately 237-342 microns thick
