Patti Barfoot

Hitchin Art Club grew out of Art Classes held in the 1930's. These were so successful that they became more formal, resulting in the formation of the Hitchin Art Club in 1943. The club continues to prosper and has become part of the artistic fabric of Hitchin, holding exhibitions and contributing to the artistic culture of North Hertfordshire.

Awards

The club palette is awarded once a year to the painting chosen at a critique viewing of the Annual Exhibition.
A prize is regularly awarded to the artist whose work of art is the public favourite at the Annual Exhibition. In 2013 this was a framing vou
