Geraldine Darlington

Royal Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire

Building on my lifelong interest in art, I now have the freedom to achieve my ambitions as an artist and spend time concentrating on and developing my artistic practice. Prior to the pandemic, I participated in local art groups. However, since early 2020 I have benefitted enormously from networking with other artists and art groups online. While missing face to face encounters, I have found online workshops and collaborations to be an excellent way of developing my skills and gaining inspiration. Whereas formerly I tended to focus on watercolour landscapes, in lockdown I have discovered passions for both abstract art and portraiture. I have also found new media to excite my palette, and have expanded my repertoire from watercolour to include acrylics, water mixable oils, pastels and mixed media. I am looking forward to sharing my work with the SAA Community.
