Carol kibble

Cowbridge, The Vale Of Glamorgan

I grew up in South Wales and spent my childhood exploring the Welsh countryside and getting to know the wildlife therein. At an early age, I was never without a pencil and sketchpad and this habit has never left me. When I married in the 1980's, I moved to Wiltshire. In rural Wiltshire I developed my skills as an Artist, inspired by the wildlife literally on my own doorstep. I lived in a cottage with a large garden backing onto open farmland. Visited daily by a large number of bird species and frequently by squirrel, roe and muntjac deer, rabbits, badger and hedgehog.I was close to the Wiltshire Downs, home to numerous species including one of my favourites, the hare. I knew that my destiny was to paint and the subject I am naturally drawn to is my first love - British wildlife.
I am now back in my native Wales. I still love visiting other areas of my country particularly the Brecon Beacons and the North Pembrokeshire coast; areas literally bursting with wildlife. To gather more painting material and to get close to more elusive species I frequent nature reserves and Bird of Prey Centres and family outings often double as field trips! I have exhibited extensively in the West of England, South Wales, London, Tyne and Wear and also in Germany. I am represented by the Gallery at Handel House, Devizes and also Nolton Gallery in Bridgend.
I am happy to be commisioned and my pastel portraits of animal and human studies make superb gifts. I use top quality materials and guarantee an excellent likeness of a subject. This attracts a clientele who wish to invest in the more classical style of artwork where attention to detail and a high degree of skill are essential.
I am a fan of social media and use facebook and instagram to share my work with a wider audience.
