Delia Prudence

Scarborough, North Yorkshire

I studied art at college when I was a young 18 year old but like so many my parents said a proper job had to be found. I came from a general working class background and the options were limited. I didn't pick up a brush again until 2016 when I lost my dad It really helped me through a traumatic time of my life. I have worked and raised a family and now I feel I need to be me. My husband has backed me all the way and since picking up that brush again I can't put it back down. I am proud to say I have opened a small retail shop plus gallery and workshop space so I can share my experiences and help other people find their creative self. I carry out Commissions, demonstrations and run beginners courses and improvers workshops. We great mounting and framing service. We are a small family business so we don't receive grants etc but we are here to support local artists as best we can through free exhibitions.
