IWM is back for a bigger, better and even more exciting contemporary exhibition at Lilleshall Hall, Shropshire, May 2022.
The IWM2022 demonstrations and lectures schedule is constantly evolving.
Due to the COVID challenges we will regularly update this programme as our Master Artists are able to organise their travel and appearance at IWM2022.
The SAA is thrilled to be once again supporting the 2022 International Watercolour Masters Exhibition – a showcase for some of the world’s more renowned watercolourists. The 2018 show saw seventeen artists exhibiting – 2022 sees 42 artists from as far afield as China, Uruguay, Australia, Brazil, and the USA, bringing their work together under one roof for thirteen exhilarating days of breath taking inspiration. Each painting exemplifies the atmosphere, drama and versatility of this alluring medium. Not only that, but there are a range of demonstrations, broadcasts, and lectures available to participate in alongside these remarkable artists.
The event is the concept of SAA PA David Poxon, an elected member of the prestigious RI (Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours) and the NWS (National Watercolour Society of America). The latest showcasing of the International Watercolour Masters event was originally scheduled for 2020, but following the disruption of COVID-19, the exhibition had to be postponed until the following year. However, the great news is that the extra time has given David and team the opportunity to make 2022 even bigger and better than ever with more artists and more days of inspiration than initially planned!
International Watercolour Masters 2022 is a much anticipated show – the stunning venue combined with the expanded list of prestigious, globally renowned watercolour artists promises to be unlike anything before. The exhibition will be a truly unique event for anyone with a passion for amazing art. With a packed programme of activities, demonstrations, workshops, SAA art market and a masterful collection of paintings, all in a beautiful and historic setting.
