Collection of oil paintings by fine artist Dawn Kay in major solo exhibition showcased at The Grand Hotel, Folkestone.
The Grand Hotel in Folkestone, Kent, will host a unique exhibition of 32 paintings and giclée prints by Bedfordshire based artist Dawn Kay, open 25th March – 9th June 2019, and located in a stunning conservatory gallery overlooking the sea.
The show features a collection of works, including delicate still life scenes that capture the soft reverie of introspection, and magnified studies of flowers glowing with sparkling raindrops.
Having been trained in studio by Rosa Branson MBE in the oil painting techniques of the Old Masters, this exhibition encapsulates an exploration into the beauty of light. Whilst using traditional methods and materials, Dawn’s oil paintings bring her subjects firmly into the contemporary world, portraying the sublime in everyday objects, and expressing the wonder experienced in nature.
Sit among the artworks in a beautiful conservatory gallery and enjoy a delicious afternoon tea!
