  • Information

Highworth Artists' Society Highworth Artists' Society is a well-established society which started in 1969 when three local artists ran a small exhibition in the town. We now have a membership from Highworth and the surrounding area. We hold a waiting list when required. We also have Associate Members who have retired from full membership but who still wish to participate in many of our events. We hold informal and friendly workshops every Tuesday for members who are both amateur and professional. These sessions are stimulating and lively giving us all a chance to make new friends and to learn from each other. Members are also invited to show their work in our successful, and locally praised, bi-annual exhibitions. Demonstrations by professional artists are held during the year and trips organised to events and exhibitions of artistic interest. These events are open to members and visitors. We also like to have an annual social gathering usually around Christmas! Regular newsletters are sent to all members to keep them up to date with Society activities. Membership applicants are invited to bring in three examples of their original, completed works for a selection committee to review. Membership depends on the result of this review. If you would like more information on our Society or would like to apply to become a member please email the Society Secretary, Pam Hague, pih.62@btinternet.com.
