Golden Eagle in Coloured Pencils - 1 Day Art Workshop

Tuition FROM: Saturday, 19 May 2018 TO: Saturday, 19 May 2018

Tuition Type: Workshops

  • Description

At this Workshop you will be taught the layering process I use in my own work and which colours to use at each stage. This Workshop is available to anyone interested in Coloured pencils from complete beginners to those wishing to take their pencil work to the next step.

Creating a portrait on Black paper creates immediate impact, offering a moody feel to the subject, especially for a powerful looking bird like the Golden Eagle, and at this Coloured pencil Workshop I will teach you how to create high realism in your pencil work.

I begin the Workshop running through a 'Do's & Dont's Checklist to ensure you get the best out of the medium and then continue on to the first demonstration of which there are between 5 and 6 - each demo helps to break the Workshop into bite size sections allowing you to progress steadily at your own pace and I explain all the steps needed to achieve such detail. I will teach you how each section is built up using a layering technique and which pencil colours to use, with the demos showing you where to place them and explain the importance of this application. You will receive a Workshop booklet that you can use as a guide during the Workshop and take home with you so you can finish your project as well as keeping it for use on future projects.
1 to 1 guidance is always available between each Demo or you can use the booklet as your guide if you prefer to work alone. There is no pressure for you to rush your portrait, simply go at your own pace. These Workshops are open to anyone regardless of your Artistic abilities, even if you have never drawn anything since your days at school!

A day guaranteed to offer lots of helpful advice that helps you achieve a highly detailed piece of Art with techniques learned to use in future pencil portraits.
