Hi, is this suitable for alcohol ink piantings? Could you send me a list of the ingredients please?
Thank you for your enquiry.
You will need a varnish with a good UVA protections or finish behind glass as the Alcohol inks are dye based and will fade with light.
It is important that you use an Acrylic based varnish solvent-based one will reactivate the ink. The Ghiant Ink Jet Varnishes are Solvent based and will reactivate the Alcohol ink.
A spray varnish is good for a gently coating and I have had great success with the Winsor & Newton Artist varnish spray which offers a fine coat – and I tested numerous different brands
I have also use the Deocpatch varnish glue which is applied by a brush and offers a good coverage and is the best product I have found so far from giving a heat resistant cover when using on tiles.
