Quite a basic question...can the light box be used to transfer an image onto watercolour paper not just tracing paper?
Thank you for your query.
A lightbox creates a light source which can be used to assist in tracing an image
The thinner and more translucent the paper then then the easier it is to see.
Watercolour paper tends to be opaque making it more difficult to see through the paper and in this case a trace down method is usually much more successful.
A lightweight watercolour may work, and some have had success with up to 300gsm,
You may need to darken the edges of the drawing or print with a black pen to make it clearer.
A clear dark outline line drawing will be easier to see than a full image with little tonal value.
Will it shine through 300mg watercolour paper ?
Yes, the light box will shine through most weights of paper.
