  • Description/Summary
Get ready to sharpen your pencils and hone your sketching skills with Malcolm Cudmore's speedy challenge! "The photos are for you to try! Of course, with the dancers frozen in time, a photo could encourage you to fiddle with the details. So, in this exercise, pick a couple of figures, (dancers or onlookers, not necessarily from the same photo) and rapidly sketch them. As before, give yourself no more than 15 minutes. In that time you may manage more than two! The aim of this exercise is to capture a bit of the spirit of the dance rather than make a portrait of an individual dancer. The pictures were taken by me early this September at Prom Art in Felixstowe. The group is Danegeld, who have been to Folk East and dance in a mixed North West clog style."
