Hi. I love the Daler Rowney soft pastels and want to use them for my paintings ( in layers) but my local art store here has info on their home page saying that these pastels will not work in layers due to their high content of chalk. Is this true? I don’t understand this info since I find it strange if one can not use them to build up a painting in layers. Please respond with a clear answer on this one. Thank you. Kind regards Helle
Thank you for your enquiry.
