Removing dried on masking fluid – YES it can be done - by Anita Pounder
Masking fluid is a great medium to use, but a real problem when it has dried on your favorite top, sofa or carpet. Over the years I have tried many different products, which claim to remove the hardened masking fluid from material, with varying levels of success.
But hope is not lost Zest it Masking Fluid Remover really works.
Just soak for 15 minutes and the remover turns the masking fluid to a jelly substance which just washes off.
I had a patch of masking fluid on a top for months, even after cleaning as soon as I had split the masking fluid but I must have missed a patch which dried.
Again I tried a number of products but not really effective. But when I came across the Zest-it product and though I would give it a go and after soaking for 15 minutes the masking fluid had turned to a gooey substance which I was able to wash away with a little soap.
