New Pink Masking Fluid from the SAA

May 23rd to 25th 10am to 5pm
Private View 22nd May 6 to 9pm

We don’t expect breast cancer to hit the young and fit, but this is what happened to a very close family member 3 years ago. Happily, she has made a good recovery having
undergone chemotherapy, a mastectomy and radiotherapy. When I heard about the
fundraising challenge of a 5 day trek on the Great Wall of China in September this year I
chose to raise the minimum of £2800 for Breast Cancer Care, who help every person
affected by breast cancer to get the best treatment, information and support.

Being an artist, an exhibition was the obvious choice for my fund raising. 25 selected
artists have been invited from across East Anglia, all diverse and masters in their medium.

Clare is a superb venue as its Town Hall is large and opens directly onto the market square in this small and delightful old wool town, close to Long Melford and Lavenham.

Entrance is free and there will be a prize draw for donated paintings, with a homemade cake cafe running for the 3-day event.

Among the sponsors The Society of East Anglian Watercolourists have loaned their
screens, which, with the attached overhead lighting, will set off the artists’ paintings to their best advantage. Sponsorship from local businesses, pay the expenses so all money
raised goes to Breast Cancer Care. The expenses of my trek to China will be paid by me

For the Private View evening on the 22nd May 6 - 9pm I am selling 200 tickets for £5 each, which will include a glass of wine, meet the artists, first choice of paintings and a raffle only held that evening, 22nd May, to win a superb and valuable painting donated by David Porteous-Butler. PA Michele Webber, one of the selected artist exhibiting, is officially opening the show on behalf of Breast Cancer Care. Michele, also young and fit, was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer in 2014 and is an inspiration to others.
