  • I am a qualified teacher with a Post Graduate Certificate of Education, City and Guilds Silk Painting and many years experience of teaching watercolour and silk painting classes. I offer workshops or demonstrations for art groups.

    In 2001 Tessa was elected member of the Society of Women Artists and the Society of Floral Painters and is a member of the Guild of Silk Painters. She paints flowers, landscapes and seascapes and a common thread running through her work is an interest in the patterns within the composition as well as a love of colour.
    She has exhibited at the Mall Galleries with the Society of Women Artists, Westminster Gallery with the Society of Botanical Artists, Mottisfont Abbey with the Society of Floral Painters, local galleries and in France and Switzerland as well as being an exhibiting member of the Dorking Group of Artists.
    She has contributed to several books and magazines and is a is a regular writer for Leisure Painter Magazine. She has also written step by step demonstrations for the SAA 'Exploring Oil Pastels' NOV 08 Paint magazine, features for Peinture sur Soie, (a French silk painting magazine) April 07, Editions de SAXE and had work featured in Surrey Life magazine July 08.

    Also exhibits with the Corner Gallery Carshalton Beeches Surrey.
