Mr Jeff Gibbons's profile

  • As I tend to specialise in Pen & Ink Drawing I am finding my Workshops are becoming more and more popular, I assume because not many tutors are running workshops in this media. Get in touch if you would like to discuss a workshop.
First prize in recent competition for a picture to commemorate 200 years of Brunel. Picture purchased by the local Authority. numerous certificates and commendations. More importantly, many commissions.
After retirering from business in 1990 I at last had time to devote to my love of painting and drawing. The first step was to joint a course at the local College where I learned the basics of W/C and started painting with Acrylics. Then I joined the SAA and became an RSC which involved starting a local Art group that has now grown under the control of a 10 member committee to a membership of around 100. I now tend to do a lot of Pen & Ink work on local Buildings, Churches and private home commissions. I enjoy trying all the various media and have lately been painting a lot in Oils. I have recently produced some twenty to thirty cards depicting buildings and scenes of interest in Chippenham, Corsham, Westbury and Lacock, with others in progress.
