Jo Allsopp was born in Chirk, North Wales in 1970. Having had a keen interest in art for most of her life, she decided to take it up as a career. She has now successfully illustrated the book 'My Nana is an Alien' in collaboration with her aunt Diane Whitley. For this, they received a special emphasis award for bringing awareness to the disease Pulmonary Hypertension. The book has now received national media broadcasts, and is now out in the form of a speaking book. Jo has also received many commissions for businesses - painted wall murals were completed for Sure Start, Barney's, Jungle Madness and Swingboat nursery. Her murals are completed to a high standard of character/scenes which can be painted on one wall, a whole room, furniture or an outdoor space.
