Fed up with copying other people's art work or finding you start doing a painting and then wonder why it doesn't work out?

In this workshop you will learn how artists develop ideas and turn them into paintings. This is an inspiring and exciting skillset that will take you to a new level creatively!

Lots of people unrealistically expect to do a brilliant painting without any prior planning or study of their theme in sketchbooks or ideas books beforehand. The result is frustration and disappointment, wondering what went wrong. The answer is you need to be taught the process of developing your ideas from starting point to painting - it's no good trying to do a hole in one!

In this intensive workshop we will:

Look at the process of how artists develop sketchbook ideas and studies into a painting

Learn how to do the same thing ourselves

Begin to learn the skills and confidence for knowing how to creatively research and develop our ideas
Have lots of individual tutoring to help you explore and experiment with materials and ideas of personal interest

Prior Experience

There will not be the time to teach basic drawing or basic colour mixing skills at a beginners level, so you need some prior experience of drawing and colour mixing.
