A Landscape Painting Holiday, with PA Peter Tarrant - and a day with professional photographer Mairi Semple you will explore the opportunity to create contemporary modern art landscapes all year from the reference photographs and sketches, which you make when out and about in the Trossachs on day one.

Why include photography? More artists use photographic references, not everyone is not comfortable setting up painting just in the middle of a busy area or maybe in the rain! I always hope for sun! Make sketches and take a few photographs, complete a sketch then paint from the sketch. Therefore good reference shots are important.

To pursue this landscape painting holiday approach to art we will download your landscape photographs and consider options on simple photo editing softwear. A computer and colour inkjet printer will be available.

This is your chance to paint the Trossachs as contemporary landscape whatever the weather. You will be able to extend the ideas of this workshop to your future landscape compositions.
