SAA Members can benefit from FREE insurance cover for their paintings at exhibitions and professional artists, art clubs and groups can also benefit from third party public liability insurance. Check the details below to find out what insurance each level of membership offers:

Standard Membership
Up to £500 of insurance cover for paintings at exhibitions. more...hide...
Any artist may join the SAA and members are covered Free for an unlimited number of exhibitions each year up to £500 per exhibition (UK only). Cover is included to all members whilst in the UK.
Silver Membership
Up to £2,000 of insurance cover for paintings at exhibitions. more...hide...
Any artist may join the SAA and members are covered Free for an unlimited number of exhibitions each year up to £2000 per exhibition (UK only). Cover is included to all members whilst in the UK.
Gold Membership
Up to £5,000 of insurance cover for paintings at exhibitions more...hide...
Includes £5,000 of insurance cover for paintings at exhibitions (UK only). Additionally Gold Membership includes £5 million of Free third party public liability insurance for members who teach, run courses, workshops or painting holidays in the UK. Free publicity through 'Paint' the SAA Newsletter and your own web pages on the SAA website.
Platinum Membership

Includes £20,000 of Free insurance cover for paintings at exhibitions (UK only). Additionally Platinum Membership includes £5 million of Free third party public liability insurance for members who teach, run courses, workshops or painting holidays in the UK. The SAA have negotiated £5 million of third party public liability insurance package with Sportscover Europe Limited, which is included as a membership benefit for all members in the UK. If you hold meetings, events, exhibitions, outings, demonstrations or workshops in your homes, the village hall, church hall, school room or any other place indoors or outside, art committee members could be liable if your group does not have third party public liability insurance. With typical costs starting at £100 - £300 a year this can be very expensive especially for small groups. By joining the SAA your members will be covered as affliated members of the SAA. If they require cover for paintings at exhibitons they can join the SAA as individual full members and also enjoy the many other benefits of individual membership.
