Initially was really useful, then I didnt use it for a couple of months, now going back to it, its completely blocked, I cant see how to unblock it so its just sitting there completely useless!

As with all tools, we recommend cleaning them thoroughly after use. However, Zest-It Masking Fluid Remover (http://www.saa.co.uk/zest-it-masking-fluid-remover-50ml.html) is very good at removing masking fluid; simply soak the applicator and then work the softened masking fluid free with a needle. ordering this product because it seemed ideal for setting out fine lines such as on water etc; on using the product it seemed very watery, but the biggest downfall was when I tried to put the metal pin on the screw cap back into the outlet of the container, you need very good eyesight to locate it and when you do it does not go back easily and in my case when I went to use it again it just dripped all over the place, not very successful and I can\'t recommend it.

We are sorry you experienced problems; we have spoken to a number of customers and it is possible you may be squeezing the bottle too hard. The fineliner works best if you simply hold it inverted above the paper and let gravity do the work, however we have taken your comments on board and will be investigating improving the design.
    Thank you.

Chronically bad, I echo everything that\'s already been written plus it rips the paper every single time of use. Rubbish rubbish rubbish!

** RESPONSE FROM THE SAA **

We are sorry you did not get on with the Fineliner; please note that it works best with a gentle touch, on artist quality paper. (Posted on 12/11/2013)

I found this product to be awful, and doesn\'t do the job at all. Just makes a real mess, and drips everywhere.

** RESPONSE FROM THE SAA **

We are sorry you did not get on with the Fineliner; please note that simply holding the bottle above the area you wish to mask should be enough to let the fluid escape in a clean, controlled line. Squeezing the bottle may cause an uneven or 'spotty' flow. (Posted on 23/09/2013)

Used it once and it got jammed and would not work any more. The masking fluid is very liquid and difficult to control

Also saw this at All about Art and am very pleased with it. The masking fluid is fairly runny, so one has to be careful to keep a low angle (not upright) to the paper for very fine lines. I found that cleaning the needle every time before putting back into the nozzle kept it clean and easy to open every time. As I teach watercolour, I shall be recommending this to my students. Bought this at the All about Art event yesterday and the needle is so firmly stuck in the point that it actually came out the top and needless to say is useless as I now cannot put the dark blue top back on. It may have been because of the heat there but wonder if anyone else has the same problem. Back to using a drawing pen.
