This is a Constructive Video Critique service, only available from the SAA - learn, develop, grow and be inspired!

How it works:

As we will be doing all of the critiquing online, you'll need a valid email address and internet access.

Once you have purchased this item, someone from SAA HQ will be in touch to request some information on the painting you'd like critiqued, along with a high resolution photograph of the painting.

Once this has been received by your contact at SAA HQ, they will then allocate the work out to a Professional Artist. This will be an SAA Professional Associate, who is someone we work closely with and has extensive teaching experience and experience of carrying out these critiques. They will perform the critique and let us know when the video of your critique is ready.

We will then let you know, giving you a link to the YouTube video of your critique.

The video critique will be completed and back with you within 7 days of you sending us your Information Request Form and the high-resolution photograph of the painting you want critiqued, though we will aim to achieve this sooner.

The aim is always to help encourage people to enhance their skills with constructive criticism, using the overview of what you were trying to achieve to help focus the critique. The Professional Artists will have pointed out areas that have worked well as well as areas that haven't and give you information and tools to use within in your next work.

As teachers, demonstrators and practicing artists we want to inform, encourage and inspire, and hope you find a video critique helps with this.

NB. As this is a digital critique, you will need access to the internet and a valid email address.
