Say goodbye to dried-up paints!

This SAA palette is specially designed to keep your acrylics moist for days and days. Thanks to the special SAA 'Keep-Wet' paper combined with the 'membrane' paper top sheet, you can simply add a little water to the palette and your acrylic paints will stay moist and workable all day! And if the palette is stored with the lid on, your paints will remain moist even between painting sessions!

This durable palette is made from a hard-wearing plastic and comes complete with 3 sheets of SAA 'Keep-Wet' paper and 12 sheets of membrane paper. Refill packs for each of the papers are also available.

Size: 340 x 210 x 20mm (13.75" x 8.5" x 3/4")
  1. Some advice on using Review by Gil

It does what it says. But make sure you dry the "Keep wet paper" if you are not using it for some time. I left mine wet with the lid on and mould grew on the paper. Also if you leave the under paper to whetten for a couple of minutes and then add the membrane paper you can even out the wrinkles. (Posted on 22/01/2015)

  2. Very pleased, convenient to use. Review by Aileen Airey

Always used a wet palette, but home made. Better to have one specifically for the purpose with a proper lid. (Posted on 08/04/2013)

  3. This product lives up to it\'s name. Review by Maureen Grossart

It really does work, and keeps the paint workable. (Posted on 28/03/2013)

  4. A relative newcomer to acrylics Review by Maureen Andrews

As a fairly newcomer to acrylics I purchased this Keep wet Palette and would make the following comments: It does what is claims and keeps the paints safe and dry for a longer period, though I felt that the tray might be vulnerable to being tossed around in one\'s art bag. The test will come as its usage increases. (Posted on 27/03/2013)

  5. Good but not as prompt as normal Review by Rachel Little

Normally any purchases arrive very promptly. On this occasion my purchase was later than expected. (Posted on 27/03/2013)

  6. SAA Acrylic Keep Wet Pallette Review by Patricia Tyson

  7. Excellent Review by Alan Smith

Keeps the paint moist and workable for a long time (Posted on 22/03/2013)

  8. Saves me paint Review by Iris Hazel Coupe

It has made such a difference as I no longer have to rush to finish an acrylic painting. Before I had this palette my paint was drying out to quickly and I had to keep using new paint (Posted on 28/02/2013)

  9. Wonderful Palette Review by Don Ferguson

Just to say how wonderful the recent Stay Wet Palette is, and the service from the S.A.A., thankyou. (Posted on 19/02/2013)

  10. SAA Acrylic Keep-Wet Palette Review by W J Morgan

I expected a rigid palette, but this is made of flimsy plastic. The base is smooth which means it slides all over when placed on a hard table top. The stay wet sheets don\'t fit the palette. Over all there was very little thought gone into its design.

We are sorry you are not satisfied with your palette; this is the first time we have heard the stay wet sheets do not fit the palette, but we will investigate and change them if necessary.
Please remember the SAA offers a no fuss refund policy so you can always return your item for any reason. (Posted on 28/11/2012)

  11. Good Review by Helen Crawford

Its a great way of saving paint (Posted on 15/10/2012)

  12. Not as useful as I had hoped. Review by John Jarratt

I have kept away from this type of palette so far seeing it as rather restricting. Instead I have regularly sprayed my palette of acrylics while painting which works quite well but means paint and mixes usually have to be cleaned off at the end of the day. For a variety of reasons I bought this palette and set it up with both the undersheet and top sheet supplied and began to paint. Within a couple of minutes the top sheet had torn or worn through wherever I mixed a couple of colours together and the colour soaked through to spoil the undersheet. Every new top sheet I put on was damaged or destroyed in minutes. So I cut some thin pieces of transparent plastic - the type used for wrapping pictures to be shown in a browser - and this was fine except that there was no moisture coming through so I had to spray regularly! The only advantage I had left was that I could put the lid on and the paint on the palette would remain fresh for days. I will experiment a bit further and see if I can find a top sheet material that is permeable to moisture but tough enough to remain whole for several hours at least.

    Thank you for your review.
Unfortunately, while the reaction to our Stay Wet Palette has been positive, we have also had a very small number of complaints. In response to this we recently sourced a new type of paper which is much more durable but, regrettably, you appear to have received some of the old stock.
Because we pride the quality of our products and deeply value your opinion, we have despatched a packet of refill paper from the new stock, which should be with you shortly. (Posted on 12/10/2012)
