  1. Mapac Sketch Bag Review by Dawn Treeby

What a great bag! I have now had this bag for over a year so I feel I can honestly report haw it has functioned.
It\'s extreamly robust, the seams are that strong no matter how much I seem to cram in, they have never given any indication of spliting or giving out.
I can certify it is 100% waterproof, as after getting caught in a downpour in the middle of nowhere and over 2 miles away from the car, I scrambled to get everything in the bag and back to the car. Nearly one hour later I was inside the car and after drying me off I started to pull everything out to wipe it off and see what was ruined - nothing was. The material outside still had water running down in to puddles on the car floor, but the inside was dry.
The strap is wide and comfatable and only digs in if you carry it heavily loaded for some time. It\'s long enough to go over your head & arm and secure enough to be carried while on a motorbike this way, to and from art classes each week.
Unfortunately, the velcro system of keeping the front flap closed was a little too insecure for me at times, especially when there is a lot in it, so I added an extra strap and more velcro which was easily sewn on with a sewing machine.
There are 2 sections inside the bag, as well as; 1 long zipped pocket on the closure flap, 1 long zipped pocket on the front lower section of the front face (which are both an adequate size for watercolour paint boxes, or long handles brushes), 2 square open pockets on the front face (which sit under the closed flap and are roughly the size of a flattened large collapsable water pot), and a couple of open side pockets you could put a few pens or a ruler in. The reflective strip on it proves the designers did try to think of everything, but if they had just made it so you could have attatched two clips either side so you could carry it like a rucksack it would have been perfect, as it is, I could always sew them on anyway.
Price wise, you get what you pay for, and this is worth paying for. It\'s one of those things that you invest in long term, as you know it will last for years to come. (Posted on 12/11/2013)

  2. An excellent bag Review by Susan Little

The Mapac Sketch Bag has proved invaluable for me to transport painting materials to and from art class and art group meetings. It is spacious with various pockets to enable easy access to even small items. (Posted on 28/03/2013)
