My long time in the West Country taught me to appreciate the changing seasons and the beauty of the natural world. Now that I live in Newbury and am able to fully apply myself to my art I find I am even more inspired by the richness of nature. With the two media I am currently working in watercolour continues to provide me with a medium delightfully suited to the light and atmosphere of my subjects whilst acrylic allows a bold vibrancy and texture which suits the sense of season that I find so exciting.
I continue to exhibit annually with the Tavistock Group of Artists and in the short time that I have lived in this area I have shown my work locally at every opportunity.

I love to paint freely in watercolour, and aim to paint the light and atmosphere of my subject, mainly flowers and loose abstract landscapes. My acrylics are usually atmospheric land and seascapes, again with lots of light and depth with layers of glazes on deep edge canvases. I hold fortnightly watercolour classes near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
