| Traditional pen and wash. Done as a demonstration on my 2006 painting holiday. The house in the picture is on the opposite side of the square from the church of St. Ignatius Loyola - on a hill up behind the cathedral. To the right of the house you can see the top of the city walls with people walking along. The following year (2007) I sat with my back to this house and painted the picture of the lace seller, which is also in this gallery. And in October 2008 I sat right back by the corner of this house and painted part of the church front opposite and more lace sellers. |
