Hi Gwenyth. Your work on the tomato is very sensitive and I like the way you have used your marks to assist the description of its surface. A little more value on the shadow side would help express the tomato's volume and some additional value in the background would help reveal the objects a bit more. Be careful to avoid the temptation to leave a paler fringe around the objects - this can lead to a slightly "ghostly" feel to the work. Overall though this is good work which, with a little more time spent building layers, would be a very satisfying picture. Malcolm Cudmore
