| This is an illustration of a poem by Robert Coleman ..................... ............................................................... ............................ The Flight of Rhiannon ............ ....................................... .......... Rhiannon the Goddess is gliding/ Where love is both captor and need,/ Look up to dark skies, she is riding/ Rhiannon upon her white steed./ Above all the heavens are violet,/ Below her the Welsh valleys lie,/ Gold bridle that helps her to pilot/ Shines bright like the tear in her eye./ Now see how a silk dress is flowing,/ Pure golden on show from afar,/ We feel that the magic is growing,/ Behold our invincible star./ Rhiannon, the rider, forever./ Her horse and the moonlight are one,/ Rhiannon is travelling ever/ Away from the far setting sun./ |
