| Monday’s Wash. After a gloomy weekend of rain it is almost always nice and sunny on a Monday - perfect for the weeks' wash to be hung out to dry. Washing lines full of clothes drying in the wind feature strongly in many of the artist’s works as they provide a contrast between the clean white fabrics and the drab grey surroundings of everyday life.
