From an original photo by Sue Clinker. I am not able to have a pet due to my husband being allergic to fur but love to paint animals in pastel. This is my second ever go at a dog! It took me about 3 hours and I loved his expression - he is a rescue puppy. I have been doing pastels for 2 years now, ever since a 'Try Your Hand At' of a sunset which I tried with all the wrong colours and failed to send in! I then tried with animals and seem to have found my niche. I love the challenge of getting the fur right and some expression and depth in the eyes. I have recently been asked to hold a demo for an art group showing how I do this and am considering this but am not quite sure yet. I suppose I am just not sure if I am good enough!
