Subject: Animals

This was my first commission set; a lovely dog who occasionally visited a neighbour, so all I had to go on were some not very big photos and brief memories of him. I have tried to capture him here as a mature dog.
I used Hahnemuhle Velour paper from the S.A.A. and a very old box of "Rowney" artists pastels which I wish I could buy now, they are so soft and subtle.
