In Celebration of Chesil Bank 3, 2007
Liz Dell
artwork by this artist

This piece was inspired by the protection afforded to the nature reserve by Chesil Bank on the Dorset coast. The installation is composed of fragile structures made from reed. Small star-shaped structures, bedded in the pebbles represent the wildlife, while the sphere represents the continuity, the cycles and the protection afforded by Chesil Bank. The structures were installed on the beech at low tide. The action of the sea on the installation a visible reminder of the importance of Chesil Bank. Photographic prints for sale
