I have always loved horses, particularly their eyes...they speak volumes! I wanted to create an image that inspired the viewer to want to know what the horse was thinking; to maybe create their own story that might lead up to this fleeting moment when theirs and the stallions eyes meet; to be curious about what is going on behind his eyes.
(Soft pastels on velour paper)
For me, this stallion will meet and greet, be affectionate when he chooses and even share his space quietly...but no-one will ever 'own' him. He has the unmistakable look of a 'Free Spirit'! |
