The very first product of a new project for 2011; a series of landscapes inspired by a new long distance Walk. The route developed by Tony and Chris Grogan runs from Saltaire (W. Yorks) to Appleby in Westmoreland (Cumbria) through diverse and spectacular scenery. This trial painting is based on one of Tony's photographs. As the year progresses I'll be exploring the route personally and transferring my impressions to canvas.
The works are due to be exhibited at a series of venues along the route of the walk in 2011. (see Exhibitions) |
