Cats and Flowers by Margaret Ellis

These are my two cats - Phoebe, a gentle blue-eyed Himalayan, on the left and Katie, a beautiful Maine Coon on the right. They are both "rescue cats". Phoebe is 8 years old and we have had her 5 years. Katy is 13 and ill with kidney disease. She was given 48 hours to live nearly a year ago but pulled round against all the odds and is still enjoying life in a quiet way. I was influenced by the cats and flowers paintings of Elizabeth Blackadder when I did this. All the flowers are also painted from life and out of my own garden.
