| Wild Boar Fell and Mallerstang Oil on Board 16" x 12". A painting I have been meaning to do for some time - painted from a photo taken a few years ago when I ventured up there on a cold February morning. The building in the middle distance is Shaw Paddocks, and when I took the photo the building was illuminated against the backdrop of Wild Boar Fell and Mallerstang common. As it was a frosty morning I wanted muted colours in the painting, and I hope I have created some 'mood' to this. The wife doesn't like it as it's too grim, but I think it reflects my feelings that day when I saw the scene. |
