I have entered this under Landscape, as the catagory Transport has now been removed and not sure were this type of picture fits!
I did this painting from a photo I took in Sept when I had a taxi ride in "Just Jane" a Lancaster Bomber.
Material used Clairefontaine Pastelmat paper with Derwent drawing pencils.
Apparently during the war aircrew were not subjected to rationing, so when they arrived back from a mission they could look forward to a nice egg and bacon breakfast. Some of the crews used to joke and say 'can I have your egg if you don't come back' Sadly a lot didn't. |
