I have just spotted the above offer on Facebook but it appears a little light on materials and very heavy on the DVD's. It looks a great deal on the surface but would it not be better to include a good starter pack of materials. I am always looking out for good deals for my students but this one I will not be recommending.

Thank you for your post and comment, we value all feedback received. In the case of this watercolour kit, all the items included are selected to enable you to complete the lessons on each DVD specifically. The course starts with just one colour and one brush and ends with the student being able to complete a painting they can be proud of, whilst they have learnt some skills and techniques to help them take their artwork forwards in the future. While we were developing these kits, we deliberately kept material amounts low so as not to scare off or frighten complete beginners.

I take your point but most newcomers are on a small budget and would not buy a large number of DVD's at what is a big outlay. What would be ideal is a starter pack that would enthuse but also have the ability for the students to take on other projects after the tuition day. Therefore a selection of watercolours, watercolour paper, brushes, etc. would make a very useful starter kit if it is at an affordable price. Take a look at www.hospital-art.org and you will get the picture. Currently I fund everything from my own pocket.
