hello steve, thanks for reply! i use graphite pencil and pastel pencils the most and like a bit of watercolour to. I like to do animals and people the most :)

Hi Zoe, thanks for your reply,ive just recently taken up acrylics after being bought a short beginers course for Christmas, never painted before so real novice, though always having loved pencil drawing. I dont feel overconfident with my work yet , still experimenting making lots of mistakes but hoping the magazines are going to help sort me out lol.

hi al3 yes im hoping it helps me to, the step by step dvds you can get look really helpful, there in the catalogue that comes with the welcome pack. Im more confident with pencils definately, but still make a few mistakes with pastels, so i hope you get the help you want with your acrylics, i imagine your paintings will be brilliant!:)

Hi Zoe , thanks for your encouragment , like you my favorite subjects are animals, well drawing anyway, ive been painting a little still life at the moment. trying not to run before i can walk. but look forward to the day i can paint from the pictures i took in kenya.last year.
ive tried a little drawing with pastel pencils before,but cant seem to make them work for me. my efforts seem childlike .i look at some peoples work with them and im in awe some could be photographs they look so lifelike. good luck with your work zoe and thanks for the repy.

thats something to aim for then those photos of kenya they would look fantastic as a painting!! im not the best with pastels but i'm getting better at it. good luck with that and i hope you got your welcome pack! :)
